Laminate sheets should be handled with care to avoid potential breakage. One person can carry a single sheet either by carrying it above the head with the decorative side facing upwards or aside the body with the decorative side facing towards the person. For sheets greater than 10 feet in length, it is advisable not to be alone while handling.

High Pressure Laminate is sharp along the edges. For this reason, gloves should always be worn while handling laminate.

When loading and unloading the sheets should always be lifted, not slid upon one another in order to avoid scuffing.

For the shipping of sheets, the most common system is to roll the decorative side facing inward in order to get a cylinder of about 500mm in diameter. The tubes should then be secured with tape or cord. Preferably, the sheets should be placed in a shipping carton along with the insertion of foam, rubber or polystyrene for protection around the edges.
